Benefits of Shiatsu


Shiatsu has an immediate relaxing effect on the body and enables the mind to return to its natural resting place, producing a state that is comparable to genuine relaxation: a feeling of lightness, well-being and openness to oneself.

Furthermore, by promoting energy circulation throughout the meridians it boosts the body’s vital functions and enhances its ability to adapt to its environment.

In this way, it improves overall health.  Even if there are no specific ailments to be addressed, Shiatsu has a remarkably positive effect in terms of relaxation and there is absolutely no need to be ill to enjoy the enhanced well-being it produces.

It works as well for adults as it does for children and can be of great help for the aged and the disabled. One session lasts for between 50 and 60 minutes. The person receiving the massage lies fully clothed on the floor. Loose and comfortable clothing should be worn.
